前列腺素E2（Prostaglandin E2 Receptor, PGE2）是花生四烯酸在很多細(xì)胞中代謝的主要產(chǎn)物。跟很多類花生酸一樣，PGE2不會(huì)預(yù)先存在于細(xì)胞中。當(dāng)細(xì)胞活化或是存在外源的花生四烯酸時(shí)，PGE2合成并釋放到胞外。前列腺素E2受體(EP)是一類G蛋白偶聯(lián)受體，PGE2的作用依賴于細(xì)胞上表達(dá)的具有不同功能的PGE2受體EP亞型的激活。
