磷酸肌醇（PIPns）是細胞膜的次要成分，但是是細胞通訊的組成部分信號分子。磷脂酰肌醇 3，5-二磷酸的豐度非常低，是逆行膜從溶酶體和晚期內(nèi)體區(qū)室運輸?shù)礁郀柣w所必需的，并參與自噬。PI（3，5）P2水平由5-激酶PIKfyve和5-磷酸酶Fig4 / Sac3控制，失調(diào)與幾種人類神經(jīng)病（例如Chacot-Marie-Tooth病）有關(guān)。
