- The B Cell Activation Factor (BAFF) ELISA Kit is a 1.5-hour solid-phase sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of BAFF in human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, tissue homogenates and body fluids. This kit is intended for research use only and may not be used for therapeutic or diagnostic applications.Detection Range:0.5-10ng/mlSensitivity:0.1ng/mlPrecision:Intra-assay %CV: <10Inter-assay %CV: <10Sensitivity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of BAFF (Human). Storage and Stability:Store components at 4°C. Stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.Assay Principle:The microtiter plate in this kit has been pre-coated with a monoclonal antibody specific for BAFF. Standards and samples are added to the wells of the plate and bind to the immobilized antibody. A sandwich complex is formed on the addition of a standardized preparation of HRP-conjugated polyclonal antibody specific to BAFF. After the required incubation period, the wells are thoroughly washed to remove all unbound components. Substrate solutions are added. Only those wells containing the sandwich complex will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by addition of a sulfuric acid solution. The absorbance of each solution is read spectrophotometrically at 450nm. A standard curve relating the concentration of the standards to their absorbance values is plotted.
