背景資料: Apoptosis, or programmed cell death, is related to many diseases, such as cancer. ?Apoptosis is triggered by a variety of stimuli, including members of the TNF family, and prevented by the inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) proteins.? IAP proteins form a conserved gene family that binds to and inhibits cell death proteases. ?A novel IAP protein was recently identified and designated Survivin (also referred to as apoptosis inhibitor 4 (API4) and TIAP).? Survivin interacts with the processed form of caspase-3 and inhibits its proteolytic activity. ?Survivin is predominantly expressed in tissues of embryos, transformed cell lines, and many human cancers and lymphomas.

免疫原: This IgG fraction antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region near the carboxy terminus of human Survivin protein.

保存建議: Store vial at -20° C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
