- Mouse stem cell factor (SCF) is a stromal cell derived cytokine that synergizes with other haemapoietic growth factors to stimulate multiple lineages of progenitors e.g. myeloid, erythroid and lymphoid blood cells. The mouse SCF can be used for both mouse and human haemopoietic cells.Source:Recombinant protein corresponding to mouse SCF, expressed in E. coli.Molecular Weight: ~18.3kD (164aa residues)Biological Activity:1x10e5units/mgEndotoxin:<0.1ng/ugApplications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Functional Assays. Other applications not tested.Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 0.2-0.4ng/wellWestern Blot: 1.5-3.0ng/laneFunctional Assays: 1-100ng/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with 100ul ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
