- Beta-catenin (cadherin-associated protein beta, 88kD) is a dual function protein, regulating the coordination of cell–cell adhesion and gene transcription via the Wnt signaling pathway. Mutations and overexpression of beta-catenin are associated with many cancers, including hepatocellular, colorectal, lung, breast, ovarian and endometrial cancers. Sample Type:Serum and plasma (EDTA/Citrate), urine and other biological fluids. Cell culture medium, tissue homogenates and cell lysates.Intended Use:For quantitative detection of beta-catenin, establishing normal range.Range:3-180ng/LSpecificity:Recognizes mouse beta-catenin. This ELISA kit shows no species cross-reactivity.Test Principle:This mouse beta-catenin BioAssay ELISA Kit is based on the standard principle of a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Mouse beta-catenin antibody is coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and beta-catenin present in a sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. An HRP-conjugate reagent is added subsequently. After washing away the unbound antibody/HRP conjugates, HRP substrate TMB is used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue product that changes into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow color is proportional to the mouse beta-catenin captured onto the plate.Kit Components:6 wells coated with anti-mouse beta-catenin antibody, 1x Microplate with 2 adhesive strips?Mouse beta-catenin standard (270ng/L), 1x0.5ml ?HRP-conjugate reagent, 1x6ml ?Standard Diluent, 1x1.5ml ?Sample diluent, 1x6ml ?Chromogen Solution A, 1x6ml ?Chromogen Solution B, 1x6ml ?Stop Solution, 1x6ml ?Wash Solution (30x stock), 1x20ml Storage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
