- Estradiol (E2 or 17beta-estradiol) is the predominant female reproductive hormone secreted by the ovaries. Smaller amounts of estradiol are also produced by the adrenal cortex, and by the testes in men. Sample Type:Serum and plasma (EDTA/Citrate), urine. Cell culture medium, tissue homogenates and cell lysatesIntended Use:For the quantitative detection of Estradiol E2, establishing normal range etc. Range:2-50pmol/LSpecificity:Recognizes human Estradiol. This ELISA kit shows no species cross-reactivity.Test Principle:This human Estradiol E2 BioAssay ELISA Kit is based on the standard principle of a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Human Estradiol E2 antibody is coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and Estradiol E2 present in a sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. An HRP-conjugate reagent is added subsequently. After washing away the unbound antibody/HRP conjugates, HRP substrate TMB is used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue product that changes into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow color is proportional to the human Estradiol E2 captured onto the plate. Kit Components:Microplate coated with anti-human Estradiol antibody, 1x96 wells with 2 adhesive strips?Human Estradiol standard (72pmol/L), 1x0.5ml ?HRP-conjugate reagent, 1x6ml ?Standard Diluent, 1x1.5ml ?Sample Diluent, 1x6ml ?Chromogen Solution A, 1x6ml ?Chromogen Solution B, 1x6ml ?Stop Solution, 1x6ml ?Wash Solution (30x stock), 1x20ml Storage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
