- Sample Type:Serum, plasma, cell culture supernates and tissue homogenatesIntended Use:For the quantitative determination of endogenic rat estradiol (E2) concentrations in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity:25pg/mlRange:20-1600pg/mlSpecificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of rat E2. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between rat E2 and analogues was observed.Test Principle:This BioAssay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with goat-anti-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with an antibody specific for E2 and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated E2. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled E2 and unlabeled E2 with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of E2 in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Kit Components:Assay plate, 1x96 wellsStandard, 6x0.5ml Antibody, 1x6ml HRP-conjugate, 1x6ml Wash Buffer (20X), 1x15ml Substrate A, 1x7ml Substrate B, 1x7ml Stop Solution, 1x7ml Adhesive Strip (For 96 wells), 4x strips Instruction manual Storage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
