- Sample Type:Serum and plasmaIntended Use:For the quantitative determination of canine Folic acid concentrations in serum and plasma. Sensitivity:0.195ng/ml Range:0.195-50ng/ml Specificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of canine folic acid. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between canine folic acid and analogues was observed. Test Principle:This BioAssay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antigen. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with antibody specific for folic acid and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated goat-anti-rabbit antibody. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with pre-coated folic acid and folic acid in samples. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of folic acid in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Kit Components:Assay plate (12x8 coated Microwells), 1x96 wells Standard (Freeze dried), 2x vials Antibody (100X concentrate), 1x60ul Antibody Diluent, 1x10ml HRP-conjugate (100X concentrate), 1x120ul HRP-conjugate Diluent, 1x20ml Sample Diluent, 2x20ml Wash Buffer (25X concentrate), 1x20ml TMB Substrate, 1x10ml Stop Solution, 1x10ml Adhesive Strip (For 96 wells), 4x strips Instruction manual Storage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
