- Sample Type:Serum and plasmaIntended Use:For the quantitative determination of canine Free Tri-iodothyronine Indes (Free-T3) concentrations in serum and plasma. Sensitivity:0.38pmol/lRange:2-32pmol/lSpecificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of canine Free-T3. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between canine Free-T3 and analogues was observed.Test Principle:This BioAssay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Free-T3. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Biotin-conjugated Free-T3. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between Free-T3 (Standards or samples) and Biotin-conjugated Free-T3 with the pre-coated antibody specific for Free-T3. The more amount of Free-T3 in samples, the less antibody bound by Biotin-conjugated Free-T3. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of Free-T3 in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Kit Components:Assay plate, 1x96 wellsStandard, 5x1ml Conjugate, 1x6ml HRP-avidin, 1x6ml Wash Buffer (20X), 1x15ml Substrate A, 1x7ml Substrate B, 1x7ml Stop Solution, 1x7ml Adhesive Strip (For 96 wells), 4x strips Instruction manual Storage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
