產品描述: This protein is a proinflammatory cytokine. This cytokine can induce the IFN-gamma production of T cells. The combination of this cytokine and IL12 has been shown to inhibit IL4 dependent IgE and IgG1 production, and enhance IgG2a production of B cells. IL-18 binding protein (IL18BP) can specifically interact with this cytokine, and thus negatively regulate its biological activity.Sample Type:Serum, plasma, urine and tissue homogenatesIntended Use:For the quantitative determination of human interleukin 18 (IL-18) concentrations in serum, plasma, urine and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity:1.95pg/mlRange:7.8-500pg/mlSpecificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human IL-18. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human IL-18 and analogues was observed.Test Principle:This BioAssay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for IL-18 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any IL-18 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for IL-18 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of IL-18 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
