Caspase family of cysteine proteases has been shown to play a key role in apoptosis. Caspase-11 is also synthesized as inactive pro-enzyme that are processed in cells undergoing apoptosis or inflammation. The processed form of caspase-11 consists of large and small subunits which associate to form an active enzyme.

Western blotting （0.5-4 ug/ml）. The antibody detects procaspase-11 （45 kDa）， a partially cleaved fragment （30 kDa） and fully cleaved fragment （20 kDa）. A 58 kDa unknown identity band was also detected in 3T3 cells.
