Caspase-7 is a 34 kDa protein consisting of two subunits and a short prodomain. The procaspase-7 can be activated by cleavage by upstream caspases to form active caspase-7 in apoptosis. Once activated，caspase-7 cleaves many of the same substrates as caspase-3，including poly （ADP-ribose） polymerase （PARP） and sterol regulatory element binding proteins （SREBPs）.
應用類型
Western blot analysis （0.5-4 ug/ml）. However， the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody detects the full length （35-37 kDa） and the large fragment （20-25 kDa） of processed caspase-7 by Western blotting. Mouse small intestine tissue lysate can be used as a positive control.
