Akt，also referred to as PKB and RAC，is the cellular homologue of the viral oncogene v-Akt. This protein kinase is activated by insulin and various growth factors and functions in a pathway involving PI3 kinase as activation is sensitive to wortmanin. Recent evidence suggests that Akt functions to promote cell survival by actively inhibiting apoptosis.

Western blotting （0.5-4 ug/ml）， in immunoprecipitation （10-40 ug/ml）， and Immunohistochemistry （10-40 ug/ml）. However， the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody detects Akt1， Akt2 and Akt3.
