p38 MAP kinase is the mammalian homologue of the yeast HOG kinase and participates in ancascade controlling cellular responses to cytokines and stress. Like the SAPK/JNK pathway，np38 MAP kinase is activated by a variety of cellular stresses including inflammatory cytokines，nUV light and growth factors，etc. Activated p38 MAP kinase has been shown to phosphorylatenand activate MAPKAP kinase-2 and to phosphorylate the transcription factors ATF-2 and Max.
應用類型
Western blotting （0.5-4 ug/ml）， immunoprecipitation （10-20 mg/ml） and Immunohistochemistry （10-20 ug/ml）. However， the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes 43 kDa phosphorylated p38 （Thr180/Tyr182） MAP kinase of human，nmouse， and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
