- Angiopoietin-1 (Ang-1) is a secreted glycoprotein best known for its putative roles in vascular development. Ang-1 is a positive regulator of blood vessel development, remodeling, and maturation. Sample Type:Serum and plasmaIntended Use:The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for the in vitro quantitative measurement of Angiopoietin-1 in human serum, plasma; and other biological fluids not being tested.Sensitivity:17pg/mlRange:98.3-24000pg/mlSpecificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human Angiopoietin-1.Precision:Intra CV<10%; Inter CV <15%Test Principle:This assay employs the fast quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for Angiopoietin-1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards, samples and human Angiopoietin-1 mix are pipetted into the wells and any Angiopoietin-1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of Angiopoietin-1 bound in the initial step.
