- VEGF R1 (KDR/Flk-1), VEGF R2 (Flt-1) and VEGF R3 (Flt-4) belong to the class III subfamily of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs). All three receptors contain seven immunoglobulin-like repeats in their extracellular domains and kinase insert domains in their intracellular regions. The expression of VEGF R1, 2, and 3 is almost exclusively restricted to the endothelial cells. These receptors are likely to play essential roles in vasculogenesis and angiogenesis. Sample Type:Serum and plasmaIntended Use:The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for the in vitro quantitative measurement of VEGF R3 in human serum, plasma; and other biological fluids not being tested.Sensitivity:15pg/mlRange:65.5-16,000pg/mlSpecificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human VEGF R3.Precision:Intra CV<10%; Inter CV <15%Test Principle:This assay employs the fast quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for human VEGF R3 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards, samples and human VEGF R3 mix are pipetted into the wells and any VEGF R3 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of VEGF R3 bound in the initial step.
