- This protein is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor contributes to the clonal expansion, survival, and development of T cells. It can also induce proliferation in peripheral monocytes, enhance T cell apoptosis induced by TCR/CD3 triggered activation, and regulate CD28 co-stimulation to promote Th1 cell responses. The expression of this receptor is induced by lymphocyte activation. TRAF adaptor proteins have been shown to bind to this receptor and transduce the signals leading to activation of NF-kappaB.Sample Type:Serum, plasma, tissue homogenatesIntended Use:For the quantitative determination of human Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 9 (TNFRSF9) concentrations in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates.Sensitivity:1.95pg/mlRange:7.81-500pg/mlSpecificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human TNFRSF9. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human TNFRSF9 and analogues was observed.Test Principle:This BioAssay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for TNFRSF9 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any TNFRSF9 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TNFRSF9 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TNFRSF9 bound in the initial step.
