Recently，a function has been assigned to a previously identified orphan chemokine receptor，GPR-2. This receptor，also called CCR10，binds with monocyte chemoattractant protein （MCP）-1，MCP-3 and MIP-1 beta. CCR10 is expressed by melanocytes，dermal fibroblasts，dermal microvascular endothelial cells，T cells as well as in skin-derived Langerhans cells. CCR10 may play a role in both skin homeostasis as well as a potential role in inflammatory responses.
