- This Rat Adiponectin ELISA Kit is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the quantitative determination of adiponectin in rat serum, plasma or various tissue or cell culture supernatants. In the assay, polyclonal antibody specific for rat adiponectin has been pre-coated onto a 96 well microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any adiponectin present is bound by immobilized antibody. The bound adiponectin is then captured by anti-rat adiponectin monoclonal antibody. With addition of HRP-conjugated mouse IgG and HRP substrate, the color is developed in proportion to the amount of bound adiponectin and is measured by an ELISA plate reader.Kit Components:A0725-56A: Microtiter Plate, 1x96wells (12 x 8 well strips). Coated with polyclonal anti-rat adiponectin.A0725-56B: Wash Concentrate (5X), 1x100mlA0725-56C: Diluent (5X), 1x50mlA0725-56D: Adiponectin Mab, 1x12mlA0725-56E: Detector (100X), 1x150ul. HRP-conjugated mouse IgGA0725-56F: Standard, 1x48ng. Lyophilized recombinant rat adiponectin from HEK 293 cells.A0725-56G: Positive Control, 1x12.67ug. Lyophilized rat serum adiponectinA0725-56H: Substrate I, 1x6mlA0725-56J: Substrate II, 1x6mlA0725-56K: Stop Solution, 1x12mlStorage and Stability:All kit components must be stored at 4°C when not in use. Stable for at least 3 months. Do not expose the reagents to temperatures above 25°C. Kit Performance Characteristics:Sensitivity: The limit of detection is 50pg/ml.Specificity: There is no cross-reaction with human and mouse sera.Recovery: The average recovery of adiponectin is 95-104%.
