- Cell Staining, Live-Dead BioAssay KitDistinguishing between live and dead cells is very important for investigation of growth control and cell death. The Cell Staining, Live-Dead BioAssay Kit provides ready-to-use staining reagents to conveniently discriminate between live and dead cells. The kit utilizes Cyto-dye, a cell-permeable green fluorescent dye (Ex/Em = 488/518 nm), to stain live cells. Dead cells can be easily stained by propidium iodide (PI), a cell non-permeable red fluorescent dye (Ex/Em = 488/615). Stained live and dead cells can be visualized by fluorescence microscopy using a band-pass filter (detects FITC and rhodamine). Cyto-Dye has also been used to discriminate between apoptotic and non-apoptotic cells. Kit Components:C2608A: CYTO-Dye, 1mM 50ulC2608B: PI, 2.5mg/ml 50ulC2608C: Staining buffer 50ml*Storage and Stability:Store C2608A and C2608B at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.Store C2068C at 4°C. Stable for 12 months.
