TRAIL is a cytotoxic protein, which activates rapid apoptosis in tumor cells, but not in normal cells. TRAIL induced apoptosis is achieved through binding to two death-signaling receptors, DR4 and DR5. These receptors belong to the TNFR superfamily of transmembrane proteins and contain a cytoplasmic "death domain”, which activates the cell’s apoptotic machinery. Recombinant murine soluble TRAIL is a 174 amino acid polypeptide (20.0 kDa), consisting of the TNF homologous portion of the extracellular domain of the full length TRAIL protein.

保存建議

The lyophilized TRAIL recombinant protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20˚C. Reconstituted TRAIL is stable for at least 3 months when stored in working aliquots with a carrier protein at -20˚C. As with any protein, exposing TRAIL recombinant protein to repeated freeze / thaw cycles is not recommended. When working with proteins care should be taken to keep recombinant protein at a cool and stable temperature.
