背景資料: This gene is a member of the protocadherin gamma genencluster, one of three related clusters tandemly linked onnchromosome five. These gene clusters have an immunoglobulin-likenorganization, suggesting that a novel mechanism may be involved inntheir regulation and expression. The gamma gene cluster includes 22ngenes divided into 3 subfamilies. Subfamily A contains 12 genes,nsubfamily B contains 7 genes and 2 pseudogenes, and the morendistantly related subfamily C contains 3 genes. The tandem array ofn22 large, variable region exons are followed by a constant region,ncontaining 3 exons shared by all genes in the cluster. Eachnvariable region exon encodes the extracellular region, whichnincludes 6 cadherin ectodomains and a transmembrane region. Thenconstant region exons encode the common cytoplasmic region. Thesenneural cadherin-like cell adhesion proteins most likely play ancritical role in the establishment and function of specificncell-cell connections in the brain. Alternative splicing has beenndescribed for the gamma cluster genes.

免疫原: This PCDHGA3 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 284-311 amino acids from the Central region of human PCDHGA3.

保存建議: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
