- Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsiblenfor the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber inneukaryotes. Nucleosomes consist of approximately 146 bp of DNAnwrapped around a histone octamer composed of pairs of each of thenfour core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). The chromatin fiber isnfurther compacted through the interaction of a linker histone, H1,nwith the DNA between the nucleosomes to form higher order chromatinnstructures. This gene encodes a member of the histone H1 family.

- Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
