背景資料: The protein encoded by this gene is a member of thenlipophilin subfamily, part of the uteroglobin superfamily, and isnan ortholog of prostatein, the major secretory glycoprotein of thenrat ventral prostate gland. Lipophilin gene products are widelynexpressed in normal tissues, especially in endocrine-responsivenorgans. Assuming that human lipophilins are the functionalncounterparts of prostatein, they may be transcriptionally regulatednby steroid hormones, with the ability to bind androgens, othernsteroids and possibly bind and concentrate estramustine, anchemotherapeutic agent widely used for prostate cancer. Althoughnthe gene has been reported to be on chromosome 10, this sequencenappears to be from a cluster of genes on chromosome 11 thatnincludes mammaglobin 2.

免疫原: This SCGB1D2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 22-50 amino acids from the Central region of human SCGB1D2.

保存建議: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
