背景資料: This gene encodes a member of the p53 family ofntranscription factors. An animal model, p63 -/- mice, has beennuseful in defining the role this protein plays in the developmentnand maintenance of stratified epithelial tissues. p63 -/- mice havenseveral developmental defects which include the lack of limbs andnother tissues, such as teeth and mammary glands, which develop as anresult of interactions between mesenchyme and epithelium. Mutationsnin this gene are associated with ectodermal dysplasia, and cleftnlip/palate syndrome 3 (EEC3); split-hand/foot malformation 4n(SHFM4); ankyloblepharon-ectodermal defects-cleft lip/palate; ADULTnsyndrome (acro-dermato-ungual-lacrimal-tooth); limb-mammarynsyndrome; Rap-Hodgkin syndrome (RHS); and orofacial cleft 8. Bothnalternative splicing and the use of alternative promoters resultsnin multiple transcript variants encoding different proteins. Manyntranscripts encoding different proteins have been reported but thenbiological validity and the full-length nature of these variantsnhave not been determined.

免疫原: This TP63 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 651-680 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human TP63.

保存建議: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
