背景資料: The product of this gene functions in the nucleotidenexcision repair pathway, and is required for the repair of DNAnlesions such as those induced by UV light or formed bynelectrophilic compounds including cisplatin. The encoded proteinnforms a heterodimer with the XPF endonuclease (also known asnERCC4), and the heterodimeric endonuclease catalyzes the 5'nincision in the process of excising the DNA lesion. Thenheterodimeric endonuclease is also involved in recombinational DNAnrepair and in the repair of inter-strand crosslinks. Mutations innthis gene result in cerebrooculofacioskeletal syndrome, andnpolymorphisms that alter expression of this gene may play a role inncarcinogenesis. Multiple transcript variants encoding differentnisoforms have been found for this gene. The last exon of this genenoverlaps with the CD3e molecule, epsilon associated protein gene onnthe opposite strand.

免疫原: This ERCC1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 268-297 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human ERCC1.

保存建議: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
