背景資料: This gene is a member of thenbeta-1,3-galactosyltransferase (beta3GalT) gene family. This familynencodes type II membrane-bound glycoproteins with diverse enzymaticnfunctions using different donor substrates (UDP-galactose andnUDP-N-acetylglucosamine) and different acceptor sugarsn(N-acetylglucosamine, galactose, N-acetylgalactosamine). Thenbeta3GalT genes are distantly related to the Drosophila Brainiacngene and have the protein coding sequence contained in a singlenexon. The beta3GalT proteins also contain conserved sequences notnfound in the beta4GalT or alpha3GalT proteins. The carbohydratenchains synthesized by these enzymes are designated as type 1,nwhereas beta4GalT enzymes synthesize type 2 carbohydrate chains.nThe ratio of type 1:type 2 chains changes during embryogenesis. Bynsequence similarity, the beta3GalT genes fall into at least twongroups: beta3GalT4 and 4 other beta3GalT genes (beta3GalT1-3,nbeta3GalT5). This gene encodes a protein that functions in N-linkednglycoprotein glycosylation and shows strict donor substratenspecificity for UDP-galactose.

免疫原: This B3GALT2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 394-422 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human B3GALT2.

保存建議: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
