背景資料: This gene encodes a member of a family of small membranenproteins that share a 35-amino acid signature sequence domain,nbeginning with the sequence PFXYD and containing 7 invariant and 6nhighly conserved amino acids. The approved human gene nomenclaturenfor the family is FXYD-domain containing ion transport regulator.nMouse FXYD5 has been termed RIC (Related to Ion Channel). FXYD2,nalso known as the gamma subunit of the Na,K-ATPase, regulates thenproperties of that enzyme. FXYD1 (phospholemman), FXYD2 (gamma),nFXYD3 (MAT-8), FXYD4 (CHIF), and FXYD5 (RIC) have been shown toninduce channel activity in experimental expression systems.nTransmembrane topology has been established for two family membersn(FXYD1 and FXYD2), with the N-terminus extracellular and thenC-terminus on the cytoplasmic side of the membrane. This genenproduct, FXYD5, is a glycoprotein that functions in thenup-regulation of chemokine production, and it is involved in thenreduction of cell adhesion via its ability to down-regulatenE-cadherin. It also promotes metastasis, and has been linked to anvariety of cancers. Alternative splicing results in multiplentranscript variants. [RefSeq curation by Kathleen J. 免疫原: This FXYD5 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 71-100 amino acids from the Central region of human FXYD5.

保存建議: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
