背景資料: Expression of the c-myc gene, which produces an oncogenicntranscription factor, is tightly regulated in normal cells but isnfrequently deregulated in human cancers. The protein encoded bynthis gene is a transcriptional repressor thought to negativelynregulate MYC function, and is therefore a potential tumornsuppressor. This protein inhibits the transcriptional activity ofnMYC by competing for MAX, another basic helix-loop-helix proteinnthat binds to MYC and is required for its function. Defects in thisngene are frequently found in patients with prostate tumors. Threenalternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms havenbeen described. Additional alternatively spliced transcripts maynexist but the products of these transcripts have not been verifiednexperimentally.

免疫原: This MXI1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 53-82 amino acids from the Central region of human MXI1.

保存建議: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
