背景資料: The protein encoded by this gene is a member of thensomatotropin/prolactin family of hormones which play an importantnrole in growth control. The gene, along with four other relatedngenes, is located at the growth hormone locus on chromosome 17nwhere they are interspersed in the same transcriptionalnorientation; an arrangement which is thought to have evolved by anseries of gene duplications. The five genes share a remarkably highndegree of sequence identity. Alternative splicing generatesnadditional isoforms of each of the five growth hormones, leading tonfurther diversity and potential for specialization. As in the casenof its pituitary counterpart, growth hormone 1, the predominantnisoform of this particular family member shows similar somatogenicnactivity, with reduced lactogenic activity. 免疫原: This GH2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 19-45 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human GH2.

保存建議: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
