背景資料: This gene encodes a member of thenUDP-N-acetyl-alpha-D-galactosamine:polypeptidenN-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase (GalNAc-T) family of enzymes.nGalNAc-Ts initiate mucin-type O-linked glycosylation in the Golginapparatus by catalyzing the transfer of GalNAc to serine andnthreonine residues on target proteins. They are characterized by annN-terminal transmembrane domain, a stem region, a lumenal catalyticndomain containing a GT1 motif and Gal/GalNAc transferase motif, andna C-terminal ricin/lectin-like domain. GalNAc-Ts have different,nbut overlapping, substrate specificities and patterns ofnexpression. The encoded protein is capable of glycosylatingnfibronectin peptide in vitro and is expressed in a fibroblast cellnline, indicating that it may be involved in the synthesis ofnoncofetal fibronectin.

免疫原: This GALNT6 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 552-579 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human GALNT6.

保存建議: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
