背景資料: Crystallins are separated into two classes:ntaxon-specific, or enzyme, and ubiquitous. The latter classnconstitutes the major proteins of vertebrate eye lens and maintainsnthe transparency and refractive index of the lens. Since lensncentral fiber cells lose their nuclei during development, thesencrystallins are made and then retained throughout life, making themnextremely stable proteins. Mammalian lens crystallins are dividedninto alpha, beta, and gamma families; beta and gamma crystallinsnare also considered as a superfamily. Alpha and beta families arenfurther divided into acidic and basic groups. Seven protein regionsnexist in crystallins: four homologous motifs, a connecting peptide,nand N- and C-terminal extensions. Beta-crystallins, the mostnheterogeneous, differ by the presence of the C-terminal extensionn(present in the basic group, none in the acidic group).nBeta-crystallins form aggregates of different sizes and are able tonself-associate to form dimers or to form heterodimers with othernbeta-crystallins. This gene, a beta acidic group member, is part ofna gene cluster with beta-B1, beta-B2, and beta-B3. [provided bynRefSeq].

免疫原: This CRYBA4 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 98-127 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CRYBA4.

保存建議: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
