背景資料: During the initiation of protein biosynthesis, initiationnfactor-2 (IF-2) promotes the binding of the initiator tRNA to thensmall subunit of the ribosome in a GTP-dependent manner.nProkaryotic IF-2 is a single polypeptide, while eukaryoticncytoplasmic IF-2 (eIF-2) is a trimeric protein. Bovine livernmitochondria contain IF-2(mt), an 85-kD monomeric protein that isnequivalent to prokaryotic IF-2. The predicted 727-amino acid humannprotein contains a 29-amino acid presequence. Human IF-2(mt) sharesn32 to 38% amino acid sequence identity with yeast IF-2(mt) andnseveral prokaryotic IF-2s, with the greatest degree of conservationnin the G domains of the proteins. Two transcript variants encodingnthe same protein have been found for this gene. [provided bynRefSeq].

免疫原: This MTIF2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 138-167 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human MTIF2.

保存建議: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
