背景資料: This gene encodes a precursor protein consisting ofnarginine vasopressin and two associated proteins, neurophysin 2 andna glycopeptide, copeptin. Arginine vasopressin is a posteriornpituitary hormone which is synthesized in the supraoptic nucleusnand paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus. Along with itsncarrier protein, neurophysin 2, it is packaged into neurosecretorynvesicles and transported axonally to the nerve endings in thenneurohypophysis where it is either stored or secreted into thenbloodstream. The precursor is thought to be activated while it isnbeing transported along the axon to the posterior pituitary.nArginine vasopressin acts as a growth factor by enhancing pHnregulation through acid-base transport systems. It has a directnantidiuretic action on the kidney, and also causes vasoconstrictionnof the peripheral vessels. This hormone can contract smooth musclenduring parturition and lactation. It is also involved in cognition,ntolerance, adaptation and complex sexual and maternal behaviour, asnwell as in the regulation of water excretion and cardiovascularnfunctions.

免疫原: This AVP antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 102-129 amino acids from the Central region of human AVP.

保存建議: Store at 4˚C for three months and -20˚C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
