肌醇磷酸 是參與眾多細(xì)胞功能的重要信號分子。肌醇1,4,5-三磷酸（IP3） 是由磷脂酶C催化水解磷脂酰肌醇4,5-二磷酸（PIP2） 產(chǎn)生的第二信使。IP3能夠結(jié)合內(nèi)質(zhì)網(wǎng)上的IP3受體，通過打開四聚體離子通道，導(dǎo)致鈣離子釋放。IP3會迅速被一系列特定的肌醇磷酸酶和激酶代謝。

儲存與操作：肌醇多磷酸（InsPns）及其類似物在-20°C或更低溫度下，作為固體且防潮保存時(shí)，至少穩(wěn)定一年。在堿性（pH > 9）或酸性（pH < 4）緩沖液中儲存可能會導(dǎo)致分解。復(fù)溶后，InsPns溶液應(yīng)保存在-20°C或更低溫度下。按照這種方式操作時(shí)，InsPns至少穩(wěn)定三個(gè)月。反復(fù)凍融循環(huán)不會影響InsPns。不要將復(fù)溶后的InsPns在4°C下儲存超過2-3天。
