雙鏈(ds)RNA的形成是病毒感染的標(biāo)志，對(duì)于誘導(dǎo)先天免疫至關(guān)重要。dsRNA還參與基因沉默，并在體外轉(zhuǎn)錄基因合成過(guò)程中作為副產(chǎn)物產(chǎn)生。抗dsRNA單克隆抗體是在細(xì)胞培養(yǎng)和組織中檢測(cè)dsRNA的有效工具，主要應(yīng)用于如下領(lǐng)域：  

1.用于表征和檢測(cè)具有dsRNA基因組或中間體的病毒（包括SARS，丙型肝炎，登革熱或西尼羅河病毒）。

2.作為診斷工具，用于確定未知病原體是病毒還是細(xì)菌來(lái)源

3.用于體外轉(zhuǎn)錄(m)RNA制備的質(zhì)量控制
