BoxB是HMGB1蛋白（高遷移率族箱）的一個(gè)DNA結(jié)合域。

HMGB1的BoxB是在大腸桿菌中生產(chǎn)的（Müller等人。HMGB1與雙鏈DNA相互作用的熱力學(xué)。生物化學(xué)2001, 40: 10254-61），它來自一個(gè)表達(dá)質(zhì)粒，該質(zhì)粒編碼哺乳動物序列，該序列在人類和小鼠中完全相同，前面增加了四個(gè)氨基酸（MARI），這是為了在細(xì)菌中表達(dá)而添加的（Bianchi等人。HMG1蛋白的DNA結(jié)合位點(diǎn)由兩個(gè)類似的片段（HMG盒）組成，這兩個(gè)片段在其他真核調(diào)控蛋白中都有對應(yīng)的部分。EMBO J 1992, 11: 1055-63）。
