Sandwich ELISA quantitative detection kit for Human MMP13 in cell culture supernates, serum and plasma (heparin).Collagenase 3 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the MMP13 gene.[1][2]Most MMP's are secreted as inactive proproteins which are activated when cleaved by extracellular proteinases. The protein encoded by this gene cleaves type II collagen more efficiently than types I and III. [3] The expression of MMP13 in osteoarthritic cartilage and its activity against type II collagen indicates that the enzyme plays a significant role in cartilage collagen degradation and must, therefore, form part of a complex target for proposed therapeutic interventions based on collagenase inhibition. It may be involved in articular cartilage turnover and cartilage pathophysiology associated with osteoarthritis. The gene is part of a cluster of MMP genes which localize to chromosome 11q22.3.Assay Range:78pg/ml-5000pg/mlSensitivity:< 5 pg/mlCrossreactivity:There is no detectable cross-reactivity with other relevant proteins.Uniprot ID:A8K846Entrez Gene ID:4322Kit Components:96-well plate pre-coated with anti-MMP13, HumanLyophilized recombinant MMP13, Human standard, 10ng/tube, 2EaUSB Cat No Kit Component143696 Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex (ABC), 130ul (1:100 dilution)143697 Sample diluent buffer, 30ml143698 Antibody diluent buffer, 12ml143699 ABC diluent buffer, 12ml143700 TMB color developing agent, 10ml143701 TMB stop solution, 10mlStorage and Handling:Store at 4°C for 6 months, at -20°C for 12 months.
