產(chǎn)品描述: Albumin is a soluble, monomeric protein which comprises about one-half of the blood serum protein. Albumin functions primarily as a carrier protein for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones and plays a role in stabilizing extracellular fluid volume. Albumin is a globular unglycosylated serum protein of molecular weight 65,000. Albumin is synthesized in the liver as preproalbumin which has an N-terminal peptide that is removed before the nascent protein is released from the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The product, proalbumin, is in turn cleaved in the Golgi vesicles to produce the secreted albumin.Sample Type:Serum, plasma and tissue homogenatesIntended Use:For the quantitative determination of canine albumin (Alb) concentrations in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Sensitivity:0.266ug/mlRange:0.273-35ug/mlSpecificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of canine Alb. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between canine Alb and analogues was observed.Test Principle:This BioAssay employs the direct competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for Alb has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with biotin-conjugated Alb. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between Alb (Standards or samples) and biotin-conjugated Alb with the pre-coated Alb antibody. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in opposite to the amount of Alb bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
