產(chǎn)品描述: Albumin is a soluble, monomeric protein which comprises about one-half of the blood serum protein. Albumin functions primarily as a carrier protein for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones and plays a role in stabilizing extracellular fluid volume. Albumin is a globular unglycosylated serum protein of molecular weight 65,000. Albumin is synthesized in the liver as preproalbumin which has an N-terminal peptide that is removed before the nascent protein is released from the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The product, proalbumin, is in turn cleaved in the Golgi vesicles to produce the secreted albumin.Sample Type:Serum, plasma and urineIntended Use:For the quantitative determination of porcine albumin (Alb) concentrations in serum, plasma, urine. Sensitivity:0.03ug/mlRange:0.03-7000ug/mlSpecificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of porcine albumin. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between porcine albumin and analogues was observed.Test Principle:This BioAssay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antigen. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with antibody specific for albumin and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated goat-anti-rabbit antibody. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with pre-coated albumin and albumin in samples. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of albumin in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
