產(chǎn)品描述: This gene encodes a cytokine that functions in inflammation and the maturation of B cells. The protein is primarily produced at sites of acute and chronic inflammation, where it is secreted into the serum and induces a transcriptional inflammatory response through interleukin 6 receptor, alpha. The functioning of this gene is implicated in a wide variety of inflammation-associated disease states, including suspectibility to diabetes mellitus and systemic juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.Sample Type:Serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, urine and tissue homogenatesIntended Use:For the quantitative determination of human interleukin 6 (IL-6) concentrations in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, urine and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity:2.453pg/mlRange:7.8-500pg/mlSpecificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human IL-6. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human IL-6 and analogues was observed.Test Principle:This BioAssay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for IL-6 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any IL-6 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for IL-6 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of IL-6 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
