產(chǎn)品描述: This protein is a member of the CXC chemokine family. This chemokine is one of the major mediators of the inflammatory response. This chemokine is secreted by several cell types. It functions as a chemoattractant, and is also a potent angiogenic factor. This gene is believed to play a role in the pathogenesis of bronchiolitis, a common respiratory tract disease caused by viral infection. This gene and other ten members of the CXC chemokine gene family form a chemokine gene cluster in a region mapped to chromosome 4q.Sample Type:Serum, plasma, cell culture supernates and tissue homogenatesIntended Use:For the quantitative determination of canine interleukin-8 (IL-8) concentrations in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity:0.078ng/mlRange:0.312-20ng/mlSpecificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of canine IL-8. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between canine IL-8 and analogues was observed.Test Principle:This BioAssay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for IL-8 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any IL-8 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for IL-8 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of IL-8 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
