- Sample Type:Serum, plasma, cell culture supernates and tissue homogenatesIntended Use:For the quantitative determination of rat progesterone (PROG) concentrations in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity:0.2ng/mlRange:0.2-50ng/mlSpecificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of rat PROG. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between rat PROG and analogues was observed.Test Principle:This BioAssay employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with goat-anti-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with an antibody specific for PROG and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated PROG. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled PROG and unlabeled PROG with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of PROG in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Kit Components:Assay plate, 1x96 wellsStandard, 6x0.5ml Antibody, 1x6ml HRP-conjugate, 1x6ml Wash Buffer (20X), 1x15ml Substrate A, 1x7ml Substrate B, 1x7ml Stop Solution, 1x7ml Adhesive Strip (For 96 wells), 4x strips Instruction manual Storage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
