產(chǎn)品描述: Collagenase (EC 3.4.24.3) is an enzyme in the matrix metalloproteinase family that breaks down collagen, assisting in degradation of the extracellular matrix, a key step in the pathogenesis of bacteria. Collagen is an abundant structural protein present in the connective tissue of animals. Collagenase has been used clinically for the treatment of Dupuytren’s contracture, an affliction characterized by a thickening of connective tissue. Sample Type:Purified Collagenase, bacterial extractIntended Use:Simple assay to measure collagenase activity as well as to screen, study, and characterize potential inhibitors of collagenase.Sensitivity:0.02muSpecificity:Species Crossreactivity: bacterialTest Principle:This Collagenase Activity BioAssay Kit provides a quick and easy way to determine activity of Collagenase. The kit measures collagenase activity using a synthetic peptide (FALGPA) that mimics collagen’s structure. It is suitable for measuring activity of bacterial collagenases such as from Clostridium histolyticum type I-XI. In addition, it can also be used to screen/characterize collagenase inhibitors.Kit Components:Collagenase Assay Buffer, 1x20ml ?Collagenase, 0.35U/ml, 1x1ml ?Collagenase Substrate (FALGPA), 1x4ml ?Inhibitor (1,10-Phenanthroline), 1M, 1x50ul Storage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
