Clenoliximab Biosimilar uses the same protein sequences as the therapeutic antibody clenoliximab.nnClenoliximab is a chimeric monoclonal antibody from Macaca irus against CD4 which acts as an immunomodulator. It has investigated for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.nnClenoliximab is a macaque-human chimeric monoclonal antibody (immunoglobulin G4)that binds specifically to the CD4 receptor present on T-lympocytes (Helper T lymphocytes). CD-4 lymphocytes are implicated in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Clenoliximab coats the CD4 T-lymphocytes and thus down-modulates the CD4 T-lympocytes in a dose and concentration-dependent manner without decreasing the amount of CD4 T-lympocytes in circulation.
