KRT18 encodes the type I intermediate filament chain keratin 18. Keratin 18， together with its filament partner keratin 8， are perhaps the most commonly found members of the intermediate filament gene family. They are expressed in single layer epithelial tissues of the body. Mutations in this gene have been linked to cryptogenic cirrhosis. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized （freeze-dried） powder. The protein （1mg/ml） was lyophilized from a sterile solution containing 30mM Tris-HCL pH-8， 9.5M urea， 2mM EDTA， 2mM DTT and 10mM methylammonium chloride. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized CK-18 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml， which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

保存建議

Lyophilized CK-18 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks， should be stored desiccated below -18℃. Upon reconstitution CK-18 should be stored at 4℃ between 2-7 days and for future use below -18℃. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein （0.1% HSA or BSA）. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
