- Stem Cell Factor (SCF) is a hematopoietic growth factor that exerts its activity at the early stages of hematopoiesis. SCF stimulates the proliferation of myeloid, erythroid, and lymphoid progenitors in bone marrow cultures and has been shown to act synergistically with colony stimulating factors. Human SCF is an 18.4kDa protein containing 164 amino acid residues.Source: E. coliForm: Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 20mM acetic acid. No additives added. Reconstitute with 10mM acetic acid to a concentration of 0.1-1mg/mlPurity: ≥ 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis. Endotoxin: ≤ 0.1ng/ugBiological Activity: Human SCF is fully biologically active when compared to standards. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of M-07E cells was found to be 20 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of ≥ 5x10e4 units/mg.
